Juventus announced Monday that they have sacked coach Igor Tudor after the Turin giants lost 1-0 at Lazio in Serie A on Sunday, saying they have put Massimo Brambilla in charge as caretaker boss for the time being.
Sunday's was Juve's their third consecutive defeat in all competitions and it extended their winless streak to eight games.
It leaves them in eighth place in Serie A with 12 points, six behind leaders Napoli and second-placed AS Roma.
Tudor, 47, took over his former club in March after Thiago Motta was sacked and guided them to a fourth-place finish last term and qualification for the Champions League.
He had been widely expected to leave in the closed season but Juve instead ended up extending his contract, reportedly after failing to secure the services of Gian Piero Gasperini, who took over at Roma.
"The Club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers," Juve said on Monday.
