TIRANA, Oct 20 /ATA/ Vajusha Peak in Lëpushë, Malësia e Madhe, is one of the natural wonders of Kelmend and one of the “gems” of the Albanian Alps.
Vajusha Peak has become an attraction for both local and foreign tourists who are passionate about mountain sports and nature.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media moments from the climb of a group of enthusiasts exploring this destination, extending “an invitation to discover the magical trails of Lëpushë leading to Vajusha Peak — one of the most beautiful routes of the Albanian Alps National Park.”
The trail to the peak is well-marked and offers opportunities for short breaks, with water springs and breathtaking views along the way.
To reach Vajusha Peak, visitors must hike for about two and a half hours through the mountains, passing dense forests and green meadows while enjoying the fresh air and numerous cold-water springs.
The towering mountains, along with the rocky Shenik massif in the Accursed Mountains and the surrounding peaks, make Lëpushë a true “masterpiece” of the natural beauty of the Albanian Alps.
The growing number of guesthouses and the recently refurbished road have made the area more accessible, providing visitors with an unforgettable experience.
