Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes higher with Teixeira Duarte again leading riser

Lisbon, Oct. 15, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the PSI index rising 0.29% to 8,251.93 points, with index newcomer, civil engineering and construction group Teixeira Duarte once again standing out, rising almost 7%.

Of the 16 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index), five rose, eight fell, and Altri, Ibersol, and Sonae SGPS remained unchanged at €4.99, €10.10, and €1.37, respectively.

Leading the gains was Teixeira Duarte, which rose 6.98% to €0.74, followed by EDP Renováveis, which rose 2.40% to €13.22.

Gains of less than 1% were recorded by Navigator, which closed at €3.11, EDP (€4.33) and NOS (€3.74).

Going the oppopsite way, CTT led the declines, falling 1.55% to €6.97.

With falls of less than 1% were Semapa, which closed at €18.24, Jerónimo Martins (€20.58), Galp (€15.95), BCP (€0.76), Mota-Engil (€5.75), REN (€3.09) and Corticeira Amorim (€7.08).

Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in Paris rose 1.99%, while London fell 0.30%, Frankfurt 0.23% and Madrid 0.10%.
