Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes at level not seen since 14 April 2010

Lisbon, Oct. 13, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market ended Monday's session higher, with the PSI rising 0.69% to 8,226.37 points, a high since 14 April 2010, on a day when Teixeira Duarte led the gains, rising more than 8%.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the national benchmark index, the PSI (Portuguese Share Index), eight closed in positive territory and the remaining eight in the red.

Leading the gains was Teixeira Duarte, which rose 8.42% to €0.62 cents per share.

With gains of more than 1%, were EDP, whose shares advanced 2.23% to €4.32, and its subsidiary EDP Renováveis, which added 1.18% to €12.85.

Mota-Engil rose 2.02% to €5.80, while BCP gained 1.10% to €0.75 cents per share.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, with the biggest falls, was Ibersol, which fell 0.99% to €10, followed by Semapa, which fell 0.96% to €18.54, and REN, which fell 0.48% to €3.11.

Among the heavyweights under pressure was Galp Energia, which fell by 0.22% to €16.14.

Lisbon followed the positive sentiment experienced in the other major European markets, on a day when the German DAX rose 0.60%, the Spanish IBEX-35 gained 0.42%, the French CAC-40 advanced 0.16% and the British FTSE 100 rose 0.16%.
