Lisbon, Oct. 8, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the PSI index up 0.40% to 8,149.10 points, with Altri standing out with a gain of more than 3%.

Of the 16 companies that are included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Share Index) 10 ended the day rising, three fell, and Teixeira Duarte, Semapa, and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €0.55, €18.30, and €7.20, respectively.

Altri led the gains, rising 3.24% to €4.94.

Other major gains included Mota-Engil, which rose 3.01% to €5.65, EDP Renováveis, which rose 1.70% to €12.55, and Navigator, which rose 1.16% to €3.14.

With increases of less than 1% were EDP (€4.15), Sonae SGPS (€1.37), Ibersol (€10.15), REN (€3.06), BCP (€0.75) and Jerónimo Martins (€20.80).

Going in the opposite direction, Galp led the declines, falling 2.59% to €16.54, followed by CTT, which fell 1.40% to €7.06.

Only NOS (€3.77) fell by less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, the main indexes in Paris rose 1.07%, Madrid 0.97%, Frankfurt 0.87% and London 0.69%.
