TIRANA, Sept 29 /ATA/ – Albania’s agricultural exports rose by 9.1% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2025, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla said on Monday, citing government support policies and improvements in production standards and logistics.
The Agriculture Minister said the increase from January to August reflects the continued transformation of the sector under the government’s long-term strategic plan, Agriculture 2030.
“This consistent growth is a clear indicator of the agriculture’s transformation, in line with our vision for a more competitive, sustainable, and EU-integrated sector,” Salla added.
He attributed the rise to a combination of support measures for farmers, infrastructure upgrades, and investments aimed at improving production quality and market access.
Salla noted that the positive trend is also boosting rural incomes, strengthening the agricultural value chain, and helping Albania move closer to its goal of reaching EUR 1 billion in agricultural exports by 2030.
“Our agricultural products are now present in 80 premium international markets, introducing global consumers to the unique taste and quality of ‘Made in Albania’,” he added.
Salla reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue supporting farmers and agri-processors in order to maintain growth momentum and reinforce Albania’s position as a supplier of high-quality agricultural goods to international markets.
