TIRANA, September 27/ATA/ The European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) is holding its annual congress in Stockholm, where doctors and experts from around the world discussed innovation and education in the imaging of uterine, ovarian, kidney, bladder and prostate cancers.
Minister of Health and Social Welfare Evis Sala, in her lecture “Artificial Intelligence in Gynecological Oncology: Challenges and Opportunities”, underlined that artificial intelligence (AI) can help diagnoses be made faster and more accurately, while stating that the use of AI in medicine is a priority of the Albanian government.
“Artificial intelligence can make the process of scanning and interpreting images faster, so that more patients can benefit without waiting long, receiving quality healthcare”, said Minister Sala.
Another promising area is choosing the most appropriate treatment for each woman, in order to avoid therapies that may not be as effective as others.
During ESUR 2025, it was highlighted that collaboration between radiologists and trusted AI could bring major improvements in the care of women affected by cancer. /e.i/j.p/p.s./
