ALGIERS- The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, announced on Wednesday at the Exhibition Palace, in Algiers, the official launch, by decision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of the Fund to finance start-ups and young innovators at the African scale at the level of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development (AACISD).
“The work will start immediately with 30 companies participating in the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (ITAF) for the support and financing” of this Fund, said the minister on the sidelines of the fair which wraps up on Wednesday after a week of intense activities.
The fund, said Ouadah, is meant to “empower young people and promote innovation in Africa, in accordance with the content of the President of the Republic's speech at the opening of this edition and his commitments.”
The minister also said that, in collaboration with AACISD, and within the framework of the training and financing program for African students in Algerian universities, an event will be organized, dedicated to these students during the African Start-up Conference, scheduled for next December, in Algiers, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic.
