ZAGREB, 11 Aug (Hina) - The "Zagreb" boat crew triumphed on Saturday in the 28th Neretva Boat Marathon, completing the 22.5-kilometre course from beneath the bridge in Metković to the finish line in Ploče ahead of 31 rival teams.
This marks their fifth overall win in the event, and their fourth consecutive victory.
The crew of "Gusar" from Komin secured second place, while "Stabline" took third.
At the prize-giving ceremony in Ploče, the winners received the prestigious Large Shield of Duke Domagoj, along with gold medals for each crew member. The runners-up and third-placed crew were awarded the Small Shield of Duke Domagoj, with silver and bronze medals respectively.
The spectacle was followed along the Neretva River by around 70 boats, many carrying tourists keen to witness the race.
