The total number of unemployed individuals registered with the Public Employment Service (DYPA) reached 754,325 in June 2025, marking a decrease of 58,633 people (-7.2%) compared to June 2024 and an increase of 13,319 people (+1.8%) compared to the previous month, May 2025.
Additionally, the number of individuals receiving unemployment benefits in June 2025 amounted to 96,636, showing a decrease of 8,738 people (-8.3%) compared to June 2024 and a decrease of 30,097 people (-23.7%) compared to May 2025.
According to the statistical figures for registered unemployment at DYPA, out of the total 754,325 individuals: 424,867 people (56.3%) have been registered with DYPA for a period equal to or longer than 12 months, while 329,458 people (43.7%) have been registered for a period shorter than 12 months.
In terms of gender, men account for 240,397 individuals (31.9%) and women for 513,928 individuals (68.1%).
The age group of 30-44 years represents the largest share among all age categories, with 235,764 individuals (31.3%).
Among the Regions of the country, the Region of Attica and the Region of Central Macedonia record the highest number of registered unemployed individuals, amounting to 263,873 people (35.0%) in Attica, and 152,113 people (20.2%) in Central Macedonia, respectively.
