A primary surplus of 4.667 billion euros, on a modified cash basis for the period January - June 2025, was recorded in the budget execution, compared to a target of 2.235 billion euros and a primary surplus of 2.905 billion euros for the same period in 2024.
Tax revenues amounted to 32.296 billion euros, showing an increase of  2.323 billion euros, or 7.8%, compared to the set target.
According to the preliminary data on the execution of the state budget, on a modified cash basis, for the period January - June 2025, a state budget deficit of 416 million euros was recorded, compared to a targeted deficit of 2.795 billion euros as included in the 2025 Budget introductory report, and a deficit of  2.256 billion euros for the corresponding period in 2024.
