Tunis, June 27 (TAP) – A delegation from the Japanese company IIDA Electronics, an Asian leader in the electronic manufacturing services sector which recently carried out a prospecting visit to Tunisia, stated that it is currently studying the possibility of investing in a production site and exploring potential partnerships with the country’s electronics industry players.
The delegation, made up of CEO Takahiro Yamazaki and Director Atsushi Moriyama, was received on Thursday at the headquarters of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) by Director General Jalel Tebib.
Discussions focused on the strengths and opportunities available in the electrical and electronics sector in Tunisia, according to a FIPA press release.
Tebib highlighted the strategic importance of the sector in terms of added value and employment potential.
He also recalled the value and quality of Japanese investments in Tunisia, while reaffirming the commitment of FIPA-Tunisia and the various support structures to support foreign investors and help ensure the successful implementation of their investment projects in Tunisia.
