Italy's Simona Quadarella and Thomas Ceccon won silver medals respectively in the women's 1,500m freestyle and the men's 100m backstroke at the Swimming World Championships in Singapore on Tuesday.
Quadarella, 26, came second to American great Katie Ledecky, with Australia's Lani Pallister completing the podium.
Ceccon, who won gold in the 100m backstroke at the 2024 Paris Olympics, came second to South Africa's Pieter Coetze, with France's Yohann Ndoye-Brouard coming third.
Ceccon also won the bronze medal in the 50 meter butterfly at the World Championships on Monday and helped Italy take silver in the men's 4x100 freestyle relay on Sunday.
