ANSA - Soccer: Inzaghi quits Inter, poised to sign for Al Hilal

Manager quits Nerazzurri after UCL final humbling by PSG

Simone Inzaghi told Inter bosses Tuesday he is leaving and ready to sign with Saudi club Al Hillal.
Inzaghi had talks with Chairman Beppe Marotta on his future after Saturday's humiliating 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Marotta had said he wanted Inzaghi to stay on despite the debacle but the 49-year-old coach has been linked to a lucrative move to the Saudi club.
Inter won the 2023-24 Serie A title under former Lazio boss Inzaghi.
They have also won two Italian Cups since he arrived in 2021 and reached the Champions League final twice.
Inter issued a statement saying: "The Club and Simone Inzaghi are parting ways.

This is the decision taken by mutual agreement after the meeting that took place a few minutes ago.
"Inzaghi's management of Inter will be remembered by fans, players, managers and employees as being characterised by great passion, accompanied by professionalism and dedication".
Inzaghi said: "Dear Nerazzurri family, the time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a journey of four years, during which I gave everything.

Every day I dedicated my first and last thought of the day to Inter. I was reciprocated with professionalism and passion by the players, managers and every single employee of the club."
