Lisbon, May 30, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Friday, rising 0.17% to 7,388.45 points, with the help of EDP Renováveis, REN and Galp, while following the trend of the main European markets.
Of the 15 companies listed on the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), eight rose, six fell and NOS remained unchanged at €3.85.
Leading the gains was EDP Renováveis, which rose 2.67% to €8.84, followed by REN, with an enhancement of 0.86% to €2.94.
Also closing higher were Galp (0.68% to €14.05), CTT (0.41% to €7.40), Ibersol (0.40% to €9.98), EDP (0.37% to €3.51), Sonae (0.33% to €1.22) and Semapa (0.23% to €17.62).
At the other end of the scale, Mota-Engil led the declines, falling 1.97% to €4.49, reversing Thursday's trend when it announced a new contract with Brazil's Petrobras.
Also closing lower were Jerónimo Martins (-1.77% to €22.16), Altri (-1.12% to €5.31), Corticeira Amorim (-0.77% to €7.72), Navigator (-0.29% to €3.44) and BCP (-0.26% to €0.69).
In the rest of Europe, only Paris fell, by 0.36%, with the other markets closing in positive territory. London rose 0.64%, Frankfurt 0.27%, Madrid 0.25% and Milan 0.26%.
