ATA - Defender Europe 25 exercise begins on May 25 in Albania, Vengu: NATO is united

TIRANA, May 20 /ATA/ On May 25, Albania will host one of the largest multinational military exercises: Defender Europe 25, led by the United States European Command (USEUCOM).

This was announced by Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu in a social media post, where he emphasized that “NATO and partner forces will train in Albania and Kosovo for the protection of critical infrastructure, offensive and defensive operations, as well as for security at key deployment points.”

"A test of interoperability and a clear message: NATO is united," Vengu emphasized.

This exercise, which will begin in Albania, will last until June 9. It aims to enhance readiness, interoperability, and the ability to act in a coordinated manner between U.S. forces, NATO, and partner countries.

“Defender Europe 25” includes a series of large-scale combat activities spread across several countries in Europe and is structured according to Article 5 of NATO, simulating the collective defense of allies.
