TIRANA, May 16 /ATA/ Heads of state and government from 47 European countries, along with leaders of key European and international institutions, have arrived in Tirana today to participate in the European Political Community Summit.
After the welcoming ceremony in Skanderbeg Square hosted by Prime Minister Edi Rama, and the opening event of this key forum at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the leaders attending the 6th European Political Community Summit gathered for the official family photo, following the forum’s official protocol.
The official family photo of the leaders participating in the 6th European Political Community Summit was taken in front of the House of Europe, beneath the monument of Albania’s national hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg.
The European leaders subsequently entered the House of Europe, where they will engage in discussions across the four key panels of the summit. Before commencing, they signed the summit’s logo displayed at the entrance of the hall designated for the forum’s sessions.
The summit's welcome ceremony included various artistic performances, showcasing and promoting Albania’s national traditions and cultural heritage.
Throughout the day, the summit will feature plenary sessions and roundtable discussions, where leaders will engage in high-level talks on pressing European issues.
The sixth European Political Community Summit begins on Friday in Tirana under the slogan “New Europe in a New World,” marking its first-ever meeting in the Western Balkans. The event brings together leaders, heads of state and government from 47 European countries, along with key figures from major European and international institutions.
