Lisbon, May 16, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher at the bell on Friday, with the PSI index rising 0.61% to 7,235.99 points, in line with the rest of Europe.
Of the 15 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), nine rose and six fell.
Leading the risers was CTT, which rose 3.29% to €6.91.
Among the main gainers were REN, which rose 2.87% to €2.87, Jerónimo Martins, which added 2.07% to €21.66, Altri, which added 1.95% to €6.26 and Corticeira Amorim, which added 1.82% to €8.41.
With rises of less than 1% were Sonae SGPS (€1.12), EDP (€3.44), EDP Renováveis (€9.14) and Navigator (€3.53).
In the opposite direction, leading the declines was Ibersol, which fell 1.32% to €8.98.
Also noteworthy were BCP, which fell 1.26% to €0.62 and Semapa, which fell 1.21% to €17.98.
Mota-Engil ( €4.13), Galp ( €14.02) and NOS ( €3.70) fell by less than 1%.
In the rest of Europe, Madrid rose by 0.96%, London by 0.59%, Paris by 0.42% and Frankfurt by 0.30%.
