Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with PSI up 0.36% in line with most of Europe

Lisbon, April 30, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed Wednesday's session higher, following the positive trend seen in the main European markets, with the PSI index up 0.36% to 6,992.34 points.

Among the 15 companies listed on the PSI, the national benchmark index, ten closed the session higher and five were in negative territory.

Leading the gains was Corticeira Amorim, which rose 2.98% to €7.61, followed by Sonae, which advanced 2.38% to €1.12, and EDP Renováveis, which gained 1.41% to €8.26.

With increases above 1% were also Semapa, which gained 1.34% to €16.39, and CTT, whose shares advanced 1.04% to €7.77.

On the losing side, the highlight was BCP, which fell 1.81% to €0.56, Ibersol, which lost 1.69% to €9.30, and Mota-Engil, which fell 1.02% to €3.49.

REN was also down, off 0.69% to €2.90.

Across mainland Europe, it was mainly a day of gains, with Frankfurt up 0.32%, London up 0.37% and Paris up 0.50%.

In contrast, the Madrid stock market closed down, falling 0.59%.
