TIRANA, April 25/ATA/ The stone city of Gjirokastra is attracting many local and foreign tourists.

The city's museum center is the initial destination, as all tourists start their visit from the city's castle.

Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro shared in the social media a video with the impressions of some of the tourists who visited Gjirokastra castle during April.

"Argjiro Castle, visitors have a taste of it in every season and at any time", wrote Kumbaro.

A tourist said that, "We come from France. This is the first time in Albania and in Gjirokastra, we discovered this wonderful castle with a magical view; it is truly impressive".

Klara from Germany said that, "We really liked the experience here at the castle. It is very nice that you can walk everywhere and the view is fantastic. We like it a lot".

Another tourist from the US said, “I am of Chinese-American descent. I just came to Albania and then to Gjirokastra; it is super beautiful; the weather is fantastic, you can see it by yourself; the castle is wonderful; the views are fantastic.”

“We live in London. This is our first time in Albania. We came yesterday and today we came to Gjirokastra. So far, we are enjoying it a lot; the castle is beautiful and very well preserved; it is amazing how much history there is here. There are different very interesting periods; the views are extraordinary and the place is still very well preserved,” said a couple of tourists.

According to them, the castle is the ideal place to walk around freely.

“There is not much information, but enough, the information boards are clear,” they said.

Stacey from Leeds, England, said that, “We really liked it here.”

While Edmond Saushi from Berat said that, "I came to visit the castle; it's my second time; it's very beautiful; the objects need to be preserved, they are rare things."/k.s/j.p/p.s./
