Lisbon, April 17, 2025 (Lusa) - Portugal's Teixeira Duarte posted a profit of €26 million last year, compared to a loss of €12 million in the previous year, the construction group said in a statement to the market on Thursday.
"The group achieved net profits attributable to equity holders of 26 million euros, compared to a negative result of 12 million euros in 2023," reads the statement sent to via Portugal's Securities Markets Commission (CMVM).
Last year, the construction company's turnover totalled €775 million, up around €8 million. The domestic market accounted for 42% of the 2024 figure.
Earnings before tax, interest, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) swelled by 36% on the previous year, to €105 million.
By contrast, operating income was €843 million, a drop of 3% from 2023.
The group's financial liabilities stood at €643 million , a decrease of some €4 million.
At the end of last year, the group's order book for the construction sector totalled €1.540 billion, an increase of 43% compared to the end of December 2023.
