Lisbon, April 15, 2025 (Lusa) - The number of passengers handled by Portugal's airports in the first quarter was up 2.4% on the same period a year earlier, to 13.7 million, said Vinci, the French-owed company that owns ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, in a statement.
In the statement, published on its website, the company said that Lisbon airport handled 1.4% more passengers in the first quarter, at 7.6 million.
Porto had 3.2 million passengers in the first three months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%.
Faro saw 4.0% growth in the same period, handling 1.2 million passengers.
Madeira's airports handled 1.1 million passengers, up 6.7% on the year earlier.
As for the Azores, a total of 532,000 passengers passed through airports there, or 3.4% more than in the same period last year.
