Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with PSI off 0.92% in line with most of Europe

Lisbon, March 21, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed down on Friday, with the PSI index falling 0.92% to 6,797.55 points, in a mostly negative Europe.

Of the 15 shares that are included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Market Index), 11 went down, three went up and REN was unchanged at €2.66.

Leading the declines was EDP Renováveis, which fell 2.09% to €8.19.

Among the biggest fallers were Galp, down 2.06% to €15.45, Ibersol, down 1.81% to €8.70 and Jerónimo Martins, down a total of 1.29% to €19.18.

Navigator (€3.25), EDP (€3.12), BCP (€0.54), Mota-Engil (€3.36), Sonae SGPS (€1.03), CTT (€7.34) and Corticeira Amorim (€8.05) all fell by less than 1%.

In the opposite direction, leading the risers was Altri, which gained 1.22% to €6.23.

The Altri group recorded a profit of €107.2 million in 2024, up from the €42.8 million totalled the previous year, as announced on Thursday.

With gains of less than 1% were NOS (€4.31) and Semapa (€15.30).

In the rest of Europe, Paris fell by 0.63%, London by 0.63% and Frankfurt by 0.47%, while Madrid rose by 0.33%.
