Lisbon, March 11, 2025 (Lusa) - A TAP plane flying from Lisbon to London on Tuesday was diverted to Porto airport after declaring an emergency due to what the was described as a "technical issue" but landed safely, the flag carrier and airports operator ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal told Lusa.
The "Lisbon-London TAP flight landed in Porto declaring an emergency," said ANA, noting that it "landed safely at 4.56 p.m."
For its part, an official source at the state-owned Portuguese airline said that "the flight diverted to Porto as a precaution due to a technical issue and landed in complete safety."
The source added that "the passengers will continue their journey on another aircraft as soon as possible."
