Lisbon, Feb. 7, 2025 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Friday, in line with the main European markets, with the benchmark PSI index falling 0.38% to 6,509.74 points, with EDP Renováveis losing 4.30%.
Of the 15 shares that currently are included in the PSI (Portuguese Stock Market Index), seven rose, seven fell and one remained unchanged (Ibersol, at €8.04).
EDP Renováveis led the declines with a sharp fall of 4.30% to €8.46, while EDP fell 0.37% to €2.94.
Among the shares that ended in the red were BCP (-1.14% to €0.50), Navigator (-0.50% to €3.56) and Corticeira Amorim (-0.24% to €8.33).
NOS ended with the biggest rise, advancing 1.28% to €3.55 and Jerónimo Martins recorded an enhancement of 1.03% to €19.57.
Galp rose 0.54% to €15.85, CTT advanced 0.49% to €6.17, Sonae gained 0.43 to €0.93 and Semapa added 0.38% to €15.86.
On the main European stock markets, Frankfurt fell 0.53%, Paris 0.43%, Madrid 0.33%, London 0.31% and Milan 0.18%.
In the middle of the session, the New York stock market was reversing the positive trend it had been on at the opening and was still down, with the Dow Jones losing 0.70% and the Nasdaq 1.20%, pressured by data indicating a drop in US consumer confidence.
