ANA-MPA - Hellenic Chamber of Hotels: Optimism for tourism despite challenges

The first indications for the upcoming tourist season are positive, the president of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Alexandros Vassilikos, pointed out on Wednesday at an event on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment and operation of the Chamber.
The change in consumer behaviour after the Covid pandemic shows that demand is holding up and these conditions will also determine future generations, he estimated
However, he noted that "geopolitical and economic challenges continue to exist and do not allow for predictions. In any case, we do not see anything worrying about this season's numbers, whether it is slots or reservations."
Vassilikos expressed his belief that Greek tourism can unleash its endless potential and provide more than what it has offered to date.
In this direction, the Chamber is launching a major initiative to open up to society under the title "Hospitality with value for all."
"Following a series of actions and initiatives at both central and regional levels, we will demonstrate that tourism is indeed everyone's business. It is not just a nice slogan, it is a reality, which we must communicate with the greatest possible effectiveness," Vassilikos noted.
