The sharpest rise in unemployment was recorded in the Centre and Lisbon and Tagus Valley regions (+4.4%).

On the other hand, in a year-on-year comparison, "there was also an overall increase in unemployment of around 0.6 %, although the North (-1.2%) and Lisbon and Tagus Valley (-0.7%) regions showed a reduction," says the IEFP.

At the end of October, unfulfilled job offers totalled 11,872 in Employment Services across the country, which corresponds to a decrease in offers on file in the annual analysis (-3,026; -20.3%) and compared to the previous month (-81; -0.7%).
