ALGIERS - 03 juil 2024 - Minister of Mujahedeen and Rights Holders, Laïd Rebiga, along with the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Laagab, presented historical audiovisual works produced by the Mujahedeen sector to media institutions and national and foreign television channels on Tuesday evening.
The works include 46 documentary films, 12 feature films, and a narrative on external hard drives, created as part of the 60th anniversary of independence or earlier, as part of the strategy to preserve national memory and foster nationalism among the younger generations.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, representatives of revolutionary family organizations and the civil society, as well as historical figures and members of the families of Chouhada (martyrs) and Mujahedeen (war veterans).
During the event, the Minister of Communication described the works presented as "precious and invaluable historical material," urging media institutions to use them during various national celebrations, emphasizing that the Algerian media greatly need such products.
For his part, Rebiga pointed out that this initiative "is part of the coordination between the Ministry of Mujahedeen and Rights Holders and the Ministry of Communication to achieve the objectives outlined in the Government's action plan, in line with the President of the Republic's program and his 54 commitments, particularly in terms of Memory and History, which he has identified as strategic priorities for the State."
He underlined that these works will help reinforce this direction to "convey the historical message" as part of the activities planned by the sector for the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the National Liberation Revolution.
Rebiga pointed out the President of the Republic's strategic vision for the film industry, particularly in historical matters, aimed at making known and immortalizing the heroes and symbols of Algeria through cinematic works.
In this regard, he emphasized the efforts of his sector in audiovisual documentation to preserve Memory and promote historical culture.
