TIRANA, October 17/ATA/ More than 4,500 runners have registered to participate in the 8th edition of the Tirana marathon, which takes place on October 20.

Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj wrote in a post in the social media that the participants will come from over 50 countries around the world.

"The biggest sports event of the year is just 4 days away, "Tirana Marathon 2024", VIII edition. More than 4500 registered competitors, of which over 900 foreigners, from more than 50 countries of the world, are due to compete on October 20, in 4 categories: We too 5 km; 10 km; 21 km; 42 km", said Veliaj.

Veliaj also published the route that the marathon will cover, passing through the most attractive points of Tirana. We remind you that the marathon will take place in four main categories: "Marathon", "Half Marathon", "Tirana 10K" and "We Too", and for each of them there will be awarded different prizes. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
