TIRANA, October 12/ATA/ Deputy Minister of Defense Dorian Tola participated in the sending-off ceremony of servicemen of the VI contingent of the Naval Force in the NATO mission in the Aegean Sea.

The contingent of Albanian servicemen will make an important contribution to prevent illegal immigration, maintaining regional security and saving lives at sea.

The Ministry of Defense shared in a press release in the social media moments from the sending-off ceremony and expressed gratitude for the sacrifice of the servicemen in the performance of their duties.

"A very good news is the government approving the decision for a 30,000 ALL salary increase for the boarding groups of the Navy. All specialties of the Navy benefit from salary increase, according to their position. This is the second salary increase, just four months after the first increase, showing the government's commitment to support our employees", the press release reads.

Another important development in the field of defense is the strengthening of the Albanian military industry, while with the latest initiatives, there will be created opportunities for the construction and upgrade of ships in our shipyards, increasing the naval capacities of the Navy. /p.s./
