Lisbon, Oct. 9, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed in the green on Wednesoday with its benchmark index, the PSI, rising 0.55% to 6,705.57 points, in line with the main European markets.
Of the 16 shares that comprise the PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 12 closed higher, two lower and two unchanged.
Mota-Engil led the risers (3.67% to €2.54) and CTT had the biggest fall (-0.47% to €4.22). The other faller was Ibersol, which dropped 0.28% to €7.22.
Among the biggest risers, Jerónimo Martins advanced 2.11% to €17.44, Semapa added 1.92% to €14.88 and BCP gained 0.65% to €0.42.
Among the shares with rises of less than 0.60% were Navigator (€3.75), Corticeira Amorim (€8.77) and EDP (€3.90).
Sonae ( €0.95), REN (€2.39) and EDP Renováveis (€14.64) recorded enhancements of 0.21%.
Galp rose 0.12% to €16.73 and Greenvolt ended the session with a slight increase of 0.06% to €8.31, while Altri (€5.18) and NOS (€3.58) were unchanged.
The main European stock markets recorded gains, ranging from 0.06% in Madrid to 0.99% in Frankfurt. Milan rose 0.59% and Paris 0.52%.
At market closing time, a barrel of Brent oil, the benchmark in Europe, was down 0.69% to US$76.65.
