Lisbon, Sept. 12, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed up on the day on Thursday, in line with wider European trends, and with the benchmark Portugal Stock Index (PSI) index rising 0.18% to 6,792.47 points.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI, seven went down, six went up and three remained unchanged.

In the rest of Europe, London rose 0.57%, Paris 0.52%, Frankfurt 1.03%, Madrid 1.08% and Milan 0.84%, on a day when the European Central Bank (ECB) lowered its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.5%.
