Lisbon, Sept. 11, 2024 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the PSI rising 1.10% to 6,780.30 points, in a Europe without a defined trend, with EDP Renováveis gaining 3.18%.
Of the 16 shares included in the benchmark PSI (Portuguese Stock Index), 11 rose, four fell and Sempa was unchanged at €14.34.
Leading the risers was EDP Renováveis, which rose 3.18% to €15.88.
Among the main gainers were Altri, which added 2.01% to €4.87, Jerónimo Martins, which totalled 1.78% more to €16.60, Sonae SGPS, which added 1.56% to €0.98, Mota-Engil, which rose 1.40% to €2.46, and EDP, which rose 1.01% to €4.11.
BCP (€0.40), Galp (€17.04), REN (€2.45), NOS (€3.61) and Navigator (€3.67) rose by less than 1%.
In the opposite direction, Corticeira Amorim led the declines, dropping 0.33% to €9.11.
Also down by less than 1% were Ibersol (€7.24), CTT (€4.50) and Greenvolt (€8.32).
In the rest of Europe, Madrid rose 0.67% and Frankfurt 0.35%, while London fell 0.15% and Paris 0.14%.
