ATA - Stained glass art works by Hungarian artist Yvette Botz on display at the Pyramid of Tirana

TIRANA, Sept 3 /ATA/ One of the first activities held in the light of the Hungarian Cultural Week was the exhibition of artist Yvette Botz. Attendees immersed in the magical world of glass art works crafted by Yvette Botz, an artist who fuses craftsmanship with the unique properties of this material to create works filled with light and form.

Her exhibition, on display throughout the Hungary Week, offers a visual journey into colours and space merging to transform glass into expressive art.

Her artworks also feature a glass sculpture of our national hero, Skanderbeg.

“The embassy has invited me to stage an exhibition of my glass statues sculpted with Tiffany technique and it’s really rare, because nobody does anything like that. These statues are part of my life and each of them tells something about my life. I did something for Albania, a statue of Skanderbeg. It is awesome that Albanians hold close to their heart the legacy of this hero” said the Hungarian artist.

There are only 14 statues on display in this exhibition, which are part of a private collection. Yvette Botz has been doing this job for 35 years now. She has previously worked on church and building vitrages and has now focused only on statues.

Hungarian Cultural Week runs from 1-6 September, in the framework of international cultural weeks.
