ATA - Brazilian carnival on Lungomare of Vlora, a magical spectacle under samba rhythms and colorful costumes

TIRANA, June 30 /ATA/As part of International Cultural Weeks, the Brazilian Cultural Week was presented in Albania for the first time.

 

Film screenings, a strings concert, literary and musical activities were organized from June 21 to 29 in Tirana, to conclude with the spectacular show of Brazilian carnivals in Vlora.

 

Just a step away from the sea, on the beautiful water-front promenade of Vlora, this cultural event organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation showcased the rhythms, warmth and colors of Brazil, with talented percussionists, ballerinas and professional Capoeira dancers.

 

Vacationers and tourists in Vlora mingled in the colorful parade of Brazilian carnivals famous all over the world, celebrating to the Brazilian samba rhythm, accompanied by a spectacle full of costumes, masks, dances, games and acrobatics.

 

Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja emphasized that “for the first time in Albania, a cultural manifestation with such Latin American vibe, full of color and tradition from the famous Carnivals of Brazil, with talented percussionists, ballerinas and professional Capoeira dancers.”

Deputy Mayor of Vlora, Irena Toshkallari emphasized that this organization brings another tourism dimension to Vlora.

“This activity in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, in the light of Brazilian International Week, aims to bring together cultures by creating a very different atmosphere,” she said.

Ballerinas from Brazil performed along the promenade for more than 3 hours, giving a spectacle to tourists and many citizens on the Lungomare of Vlora.
