Lisbon, Sept. 15, 2026 (Lusa) - The PSI, Portugal's main stock market index, was trading lower on Tuesday morning, in line with the rest of the European stock markets.

At around 9.30 am in Lisbon, 12 listed companies were down, five of which were recording losses of more than 1%, whilst four were trading higher.

The biggest fallers were led by Teixeira Duarte, which fell 1.47% to €0.47, followed by CTT, which fell 1.28% to €6.16, and Mota-Engil, which fell 1.17% to €4.74.

EDP Renewables (down 1.14% to €12.11) and Jerónimo Martins (down 1.02% to €17.48) were the other two listed companies with movements of more than 1%.

Ibersol fell by 0.96% to €10.30, BCP by 0.93% to €1.17 and EDP by 0.76% to €4.58.

Also in the red were Corticeira Amorim (-0.43% to €7.02), Navigator (-0.25% to €3.21), Sonae (-0.25% to €2.03) and Galp (-0.09% to €21.53).

Conversely, REN was the top performer, rising by 0.87% to €3.47.

Semapa rose by 0.49% to €20.45, NOS increased by 0.28% to €5.30 and Altri gained 0.22% to €4.65.

European stock markets are continuing today's downward trend from the previous day and remain in negative territory, dragged down by rising oil prices and sovereign bond yields, as well as fears of a slowdown in the development of artificial intelligence (AI).
