Lisbon, Sept. 4, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed with slight losses on Friday, with the PSI falling 0.14% to 9,388.77 points, on a day when Galp Energia led the fallers, dropping by more than 2%.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the national benchmark index, six ended the day in the red and the remaining 10 in the green.

Leading the PSI's fall was Galp Energia, which fell 2.29% to €20.52, followed by CTT, which fell 1.37% to €6.49, and EDP Renewables, which lost 0.45% to €13.14.

Also closing the session with losses were NOS, which fell 0.44% to €4.94, Teixeira Duarte, which fell 0.21% to €0.48, and BCP, which fell 0.09% to €1.15.

At the other end of the spectrum, leading the gains was Jerónimo Martins, which rose by 1.22% to €18.23, followed by Sonae SGPS, which advanced by 0.50% to €2.03.

In the pulp and paper sector, Semapa rose by 0.48% to €20.85, Navigator advanced by 0.31% to €3.25 and Altri gained 0.21% to €4.68.

EDP also posted gains, rising 0.35% to €4.65, as did REN, which advanced 0.29% to €3.51.

Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim rose by 0.43% to €7.05, Ibersol gained 0.20% to €10.22 and Mota-Engil rose by 0.08% to €4.78.

In the other major European markets, the day saw mixed results: Spain's IBEX-35 rose by 0.25% and Germany's DAX rose by 0.17%, whilst France's CAC-40 fell by 0.09%. The UK's FTSE 100, meanwhile, ended the week's final session unchanged.
