TARANTO (Italy) - Algeria’s Kaylia Nemour won the gold medal in the women’s all-around event on Tuesday at the 2026 Mediterranean Games, held in Taranto, Italy.

Olympic champion Nemour finished well ahead of the field in the overall standings with a total score of 57.750 points: vault (13.800), uneven bars (15.650), balance beam (14.700), and floor exercise (13.600).

The silver medal went to Spain’s Alba Petisco, who scored 52.850 points. Italy’s Sofia Tonelli took the bronze medal with a total of 51.650 points.

Algeria’s other competitor in the event, Djenna Laroui, finished 7th with a score of 50.600 points.

This marks the fifth gold medal for the Algerian delegation, following those won by Abdelkrim Fergat in Greco-Roman wrestling, Redouane Messaoud Dris in judo, Djamel Sedjati in track and field (800m), and the U-21 national football team.
