ANSA - France replacing Italy in market debt concerns - FT

Due to Rome's strong fiscal discipline, political stability

France is replacing Italy in international financial markets' debt concerns, the Financial Times said Thursday.
Paris is supplanting Rome as the main source of market concern over the sustainability of European debt, as Paris heads into difficult budget negotiations and the presidential election, the FT, said, noting that for much of the summer, the Italian 10-year yield remained below the French one, a reversal of the historical relationship between the two.
There are signs of a "reallocation" of investors from French to Italian bonds, Tomasz Wieladek of T Rowe Price told the newspaper.
The FT attributes the shift to "strong fiscal discipline" and "political stability" in Rome.
