Lisbon, Aug. 25, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, with the PSI index rising 0.57% to 9,445.44 points, amid a neutral European backdrop.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI, 10 rose, four declined, whilst Sonae SGPS and Semapa remained unchanged at €2.02 and €20.75 respectively.
Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, which rose 3.46% to €4.66.
Other notable gainers included EDP Renováveis, which rose by 2% to €13.77; Ibersol, which gained 1.98% to €10.30; CTT, which rose by 1.24% to €6.55; NOS, which gained 1.06% to €4.94; EDP, which also gained 1.06% to €4.68, and Corticeira Amorim, which rose by 1% to €7.06.
Rises of less than 1% were seen in Jerónimo Martins (€18.21), REN (€3.56) and BCP (€1.11).
At the other end of the scale, Galp recorded the most modest performance, falling by 0.70% to €21.28.
Also posting falls of less than 1% were Navigator (€3.27), Altri (€4.74) and Teixeira Duarte (€0.48).
Elsewhere in Europe, Frankfurt rose by 0.61% and London by 0.29%, whilst Madrid fell by 0.21% and Paris by 0.16%.
