Lisbon, Aug. 18, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Tuesday, with the PSI index gaining 0.93% to 9,305.02 points, against a predominantly mixed backdrop across Europe.
Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI, 11 rose, four fell, and Semapa remained unchanged at €20.20.
Leading the gains was EDP, which rose by 3.17% to €4.66.
Other notable gainers included Galp, which rose by 2.29% to €21.47, Ibersol, which gained 1.86% to €9.84, and Sonae SGPS, which increased by 1.36% to €2.02.
Jerónimo Martins (€17.08), Corticeira Amorim (€6.76), REN (€3.53), NOS (€4.87), CTT (€6.33), Altri (€4.73) and Teixeira Duarte (€0.49) each rose by less than 1%.
BCP led the fallers, dropping 0.18% to €1.10.
EDP Renováveis (€13.37), Mota-Engil (€4.49) and Navigator (€3.21) also recorded falls of less than 1%.
Elsewhere in Europe, Paris fell by 0.82%, Frankfurt by 0.80% and Madrid by 0.24%, whilst London rose by 0.07%.
