Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market closes with benchmark index off 0.3%

Lisbon, Aug. 10, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed lower on Monday, with the PSI index falling by 0.29% to 9,155.00 points, against a European backdrop showing no clear trend.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the benchmark PSI index, 11 fell, four rose and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at €6.74.

Teixeira Duarte led the fallers, dropping 2.06% to €0.47.

Other major fallers included NOS, which fell by 1.61% to €4.77, and Mota-Engil, which fell by 1.02% to €4.48.

With declines of less than 1% were EDP Renewables (€13.22), Jerónimo Martins (€17.32), REN (€3.50), Sonae SGPS (€2.01), Navigator (€3.26), EDP (€4.47), Altri (€4.75) and BCP (€1.10).

Conversely, leading the gains was Galp, which rose by 1.79% to €20.18, followed by Ibersol, which climbed by 1.23% to €9.85.

Semapa (€20.15) and CTT (€6.32) posted gains of less than 1%.

Elsewhere in Europe, London fell by 0.35% and Madrid by 0.01%, whilst Paris rose by 0.13% and Frankfurt by 0.02%.
