Inter coach Cristian Chivu on Friday expressed satisfaction at the signing of England defender John Stones, who has joined the Serie A champions as a free agent after 10 successful years at Manchester City.
    "I'm happy with Stones' arrival," Chivu told a press conference before Inter's friendly against the 32-year-old centre-back's former club in Hong Kong on Saturday.
    "He is important for us for many reasons: his quality, his personality and his charisma.

He raises the level of our defence".
    Inter are also reportedly trying to sign another defender who starred at the World Cup, Tottenham Hotspur's Argentina international Cristian Romero.
    "At the moment, we are enjoying working with the players who are available here; we are waiting for those who will return from their post-World Cup holidays, and we still have another month of the transfer window ahead of us," Chivu said.
    "The team is competitive, but there is always a need for important players who can take you to the next level and allow you to stay aligned with this club's ambitions".
