Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Benchmark index marginally lower as Galp slips 2.22%

Lisbon, July 14, 2026 (Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed modestly lower on Tuesday, down 0.08% to 9,126.85 points, bucking the trend across the rest of Europe, with Galp leading the losses, falling 2.22%.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI index, nine fell, five rose, and Altri and Mota-Engil remained unchanged at €4.69 and €4.51, respectively.

Galp recorded the most significant movement, closing at €19.42, following the release on Monday of its updated operational figures for the second quarter, which showed an average production of 127,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Over the same period, the refining margin more than doubled to $16.8 per barrel.

Navigator fell by 1.08% to €3.12, followed by Teixeira Duarte, which fell by 1.03% to €0.48, and Semapa, which fell by 0.98% to €20.2.

Also closing lower were CTT (down 0.79% to €5.68), REN (down 0.68% to €3.65), NOS (down 0.60% to €4.94), Sonae (down 0.47% to €2.12) and Jerónimo Martins (down 0.12% to €16.44).

Leading the gains was EDP, which rose 1.13% to €4.56, followed by BCP, which rose 1.11% to €1.05.

EDP Renováveis (up 0.79% to €13.98), Corticeira Amorim (up 0.16% to €6.38) and Ibersol (up 0.11% to €9.11) also closed higher.

The main European stock markets closed in positive territory today, with London up 0.30%, Paris up 0.03%, Frankfurt up 0.13%, Madrid up 0.11% and Milan up 0.10%.
