Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Web Summit announces more speakers for November

Lisbon, June 25, 2026 (Lusa) - Web Summit Lisbon, which takes place from 8 to 12 November, announced further speakers for the technology event on Thursday.

Among the speakers is Henna Virkkunen, the European Commission’s Executive Vice-President for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy.

Among the companies represented are the Director of Cognitive Science at Amazon’s AGI Lab, and Michele Catasta, President and Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Replit.

Jackie Jantos, Chief Executive of the Hinge platform; Jen Wong, Chief Operating Officer of Reddit; and Jill Kramer, Head of Communications and Marketing at Mastercard, are also among the confirmed speakers, as is Marcus Segal, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz.

Web Summit, which launched in Lisbon in 2016, recorded a record 71,386 attendees from 157 countries in 2025, with 1,857 investors from 86 countries, according to figures from the organisation.

The technology summit’s current contract with Lisbon runs until the end of 2028.
