TIRANA, June 21 /ATA/ - The 8th edition of the International Festival “Spirit of the Balkans” concluded successfully on Saturday evening in the southeastern Albanian city of Korça, bringing together music, dance and traditions from across the region.
The festival turned Korça into a meeting point for Balkan cultures, showcasing traditional arts and performances from participating countries.
The first night of the event, held on Friday, featured a parade of participating groups through the city streets, followed by an artistic programme of traditional music and dance that created a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.
The second evening offered performances by artists from several Balkan countries, presenting elements of their cultural heritage and promoting messages of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect among peoples.
Korça Mayor Sotiraq Filo congratulated the participants and the ensemble from North Macedonia, which received the festival’s Grand Prize. He also thanked artists, organisers and the public for contributing to the success of the eighth edition of the event.
