Lusa - Business News - Portugal: Stock market rises 0.24% in line with European bourses

Lisbon, May 13, 2026Lusa) - The Lisbon stock market closed higher on Wednesday as the PSI (Portugal Stock Index) rose 0.24% to 9,072.35 points, following the trend of most European bourses.

Nine of the 16 listed companies in the benchmark index closed in positive territory, while six fell and Teixeira Duarte remained unchanged at €0.42.

EDP Renovaveis led the gains, rising 1% to €14.18, followed by NOS, which gained 0.95% to €5.32, and Jeronimo Martins, which rose 0.94% to €18.21.

Mota-Engil rose 0.85% to €4.77, while Semapa gained 0.66% to €23, Sonae grew 0.63% to €1.90 and Altri climbed 0.61% to €4.97.

Conversely, CTT led the losses, falling 1.09% to €6.34, followed by Ibersol, which dropped 0.68% to €11.62, and Galp, which declined 0.54% to €19.31.

In other main European bourses, Germany's DAX rose 0.76%, Spain's IBEX-35 grew 0.46%, France's CAC-40 climbed 0.35% and Britain's FTSE 100 gained 0.58%.
