Maputo, April 28, 2026 (Lusa) - Mozambique's president, Daniel Chapo, said his visit to Ethiopia allows the two countries to deepen their partnership in the economic, commercial, defence and security sectors.

"It was worth deciding to visit Ethiopia. I think we will work together as sister countries so our cooperation is not only political and diplomatic, but economic and commercial, to develop our countries and create better living conditions for our people," the president said on Tuesday in a statement from Mozambique's presidency.

President Daniel Chapo, who has been visiting Ethiopia since Monday, said the country was a continental reference in infrastructure development and urban planning.
