NNA - Lebanon, Russia Sign Visa Waiver Agreement for Official Passport Holders

NNA - Lebanon and Russia signed an agreement exempting holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports from entry visa requirements during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beirut.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Russia by Ambassador Alexander Rudakov, and on behalf of Lebanon by Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Abdel Sattar Issa.

On the sidelines of the signing, both sides discussed bilateral relations and a number of issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to boost cooperation between both countries.

The agreement will enter into force 60 days after the exchange of ratification notifications by the competent authorities in both countries. It will remain valid for five years and will be automatically renewable, with either party retaining the right to temporarily suspend its implementation if required by domestic circumstances.
