TIRANA, April 23/ATA/ With a surge in new businesses, Albania's economy continues to show positive growth dynamics in early 2026.
According to data provided by the National Business Center, business registrations jumped 13.7%, exceeding 1,780 in March as compared to March 2025 when there were registered 1,565 new businesses.
With 986 new entities, Tirana leads the country’s business expansion, while Vlora, Durrës, and Fier underscore a sustained concentration of economic activity in urban and coastal areas.
Businesses with 100% Albanian capital dominate the market with 1,562 entities, alongside a growing number of foreign and joint-venture firms.
New business registrations are booming in trade, hospitality, and professional services, while women entrepreneurship saw a significant boost with 568 new women-managed entities in March. /j.p/p.s./
